Road trip

Well I will start at the end because this picture was taken at the beach near 'Devils Punch Bowl' outside of Newport. The dogs (Vadra and Everitt) had been in the car most of the day so we headed down to the ocean to enjoy the sunshine and water. It was Vadra's first time at the coast so she wasn't so sure at first but the waves didn't stop her from chasing the stick for long. Everitt put in a solid effort as well!
We were so lucky to have such amazing weather at the Oregon coast in September... 90 degrees!

This picture is at the Sand dunes near Coos Bay. We ran up to the dunes after we found an awesome camp site to catch the sun going down the first night. The next day we woke to sunny weather again and spent most of the morning playing in the sand. The dogs had sooo much fun!

Everyone is smiling...

This was the steep sandy trail that lead from our campsite to the dunes, Everitt slid up and down it

Ready set go! Vadra barreled down the hill nearly taking out the camera lady :)

The timer feature came in handy

The hike into the abyss

This was taken at random lunch stop location on the way out of the forest. It was an amazing find with crystal clear water.

Hiking around the Umpqua-Rogue River trail

Crater Lake! BEAUTIFUL!

This island developed after a second eruption inside the original volcanoe. The water is melted snow and rain combined that stays at a constant 38 degrees year round

Craters of the Moon in Idaho was this crazy expanse of volcanoe flow with tunnels of all kind we explored and hiked around.

Indian Tunnel

The ropey Pahoehoe lava, just like the kind found in Hawaii

Doesn't it look like a sea dragon with antlers?

Crazy huh?!

Dusk in the park, just arrived and working on the campsite

This pieces are part of the original volcanoe and were caught in the lava flow which brought them to rest over 40 miles from the site of eruption

How thirsty are you Jessie?
