Oregon Coast

Visiting the aquarium in Newport

Coast Guard rescue

We travelled down Highway 101, where we attempted to stay in "yurt" located in "Jesse Honeyman State Park" and I did not make any of those names up :)
The spray caught both me and my mother off guard as we walked slightly soaked back to the car

Sorry for the sideways pick, but this is where this guy slipped and broke his leg while we were hiking. Wyatt stayed with the couple while mom and I ran to the ranger station. When the EMT's came there was no way to carry him on the narrow path so the coast guard helicopter flew in, a guy repelled down to aid in transport, and a basket dropped down to airlift the injured guy to safety!

The sea lion cave was awesomely vast but I think we will go back in January to see over 600 sea lions fill the cave! Maybe too in the spring to watch the cows give birth to their babies!

sorry again for the lack of rotation

Heceta Light house was built 1800's and named after Spanish explorer. We went on a tour and learned all about the way the different lighthouses along the coast communicate with ships through timing of each flash and color of flash.

Prineville OR

Fly fishing for my second time ever, but I actually got a fish! While Wyatt caught over six fish the temperatures peaked at 105 degrees! When we were getting ready to leave we found a baby rattlesnake hole, as we passed by she rattled her tail, making sure we knew it was her home.
