Winter Coast

Stephanie and Amy returned from Africa this past year and we met up in Oregon, because in this small world of ours, Amy and her family are from Corvallis. It was so good to see them and hear about their stories from Africa... these two made and will continue to make a difference in Tanzania. After filling ourselves with fried fish and clam chowder we strolled along a "secret" beach that Amy had been to growing up. Oddly, every 200 yards or so we came across a dead something or another. The coolest was the "giant" sea lion that had died on shore... well it was neat to see how they were put together :) After a coffee break we headed to the Hatfield science center where we watched an epic film shot in 1982 about sharks!! Lets just say we have advanced somewhat over the years in our underwater filming technology. Exhausted from all the learning we made the winding drive home and filled our bellys with green chili enchiladas. It was so good to see them and I do hope they come back soon!

Wyatt Family Christmas

Walking off Christmas goodies, we strolled along the Pecos river bank. Wyatt and I had a great time on this little patch of ice which was about 3 inches thick. Wyatt slowly making his way across. I'm pretty sure I could quit my day job and become an ice skater... look at that form! hehehe
Wyatt needed a haircut... I thought since I have control of the clippers I might as well give him a fancy hairdo. It only took Wyatt one look in the mirror and it was gone but it was pretty fun while it lasted!

Roger took this picture of Wyatt, Everitt and I before we headed up north to Seattle to see Berto and Jenn. As you can see Everitt is rather disgusted by his Santa attire.
