New Mexicans again!

After 4 years of the Northwest, we've finally come back home.  We are excited to start our lives here in Las Cruces, NM and all of LeAnn's grandparents are so close now!

Trying to update my blog!

I am so behind on pictures... this is my attempt to catch up :)  The pictures are very much out of chronological order.
The Wednesday prior to graduation the school holds a senior banquet where awards are given out to students in several different specialties.  I was both surprised and honored to receive an award for Excellence in Large Animal Surgery, chosen by the faculty.  Fellow classmates, Jen and Rachel Hector and I got ready quickly for the banquet, after another hilarious skit filming event which took place at the dairy.  If you'd like to watch the senior skits we put together click on the link to the right called 'senior review'.
Baby girl LeAnn is about 6 weeks old in this picture.  She was so tiny when we brought her home; 6 lbs 7 ounces and 21 inches long.  I couldn't stand putting her in the crib at night so she slept on my chest for the first 6 weeks.
Oh how LeAnn loves her baths!
It's so amazing that this little being was inside me! She has so much personality.

Just 2 weeks after having baby girl LeAnn, I had to go back to school in order to graduate on time :( It was the most difficult thing I have ever had to do.  My only consolation was that her daddy was with her 100% of the time... and he is such a good daddy!
LeAnn is not a stay at home girl.  She loves taking trips in the car.  She even visited the Portland zoo!

Dad took this picture just after we received our certificates from OSU for our Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine!  This is the unofficial diploma prior to graduation.

The entire family was able to make it to graduation and I was so grateful because I know everyone has such busy lives!

Graduation

I did it!  Or I should say WE did it! Because I definitely could not have done this without the support of my husband, and family.  They were there through thick and thin and gave me hope when times were hard.  Thank you family, I love you!

My favorite Uncle Bob and Aunt Susie :) They made the journey all the way from Wyoming to join in the festivities and I'm so glad they did.

LeAnn is sportin' her OSU Beaver gear for graduation day ;)
Love, love, love

Oh miss Jenny you kick butt at Cornell!

I can't believe it really happened, all of it!  Baby, graduation, and now moving back to New Mexico to work as an associate veterinarian in a mixed animal practice.

Jillian and Lorin, thanks so much for making the journey down to Corvallis for my graduation!  You to are the best and no matter the distance we will always be close.  Love ya girl :)

LeAnn Marie Harwell

LeAnn Marie Harwell was born March 1, 2012 at 9pm after 22 hours.  She has brought more joy into our lives then we could ever imagined.  I feel so blessed, that she is happy, healthy, strong baby girl who has so much family to love her :)

Grandma Terri made this fabulous Easter outfit for miss LeAnn, however I'm not sure she appreciated the work that went into it!  Thanks mama, I'm sure there will be many more dresses to come!

I love these pictures of Wyatt holding LeAnn

proud uncle!
This is Ana's new baby boy, Diesel! He is almost 3 lbs :)

this is LeAnn's favorite toy.  It's a baby lamb named Norman. She is about 3 months old in these pics.

LeAnn is obviously enjoying herself at the Senior banquet.
Of course, a proud Auntie!
