Project 1: the kid
I have an odd feeling that as a vet student I may from time to time acquire some "patients" so I thought I might start documenting them... this way I can look back and laugh at myself and you all can join me :)
Wyatt recently trained this baby goat... she got out of her pen (for the 5th time) and Wyatt found her on the top of the wood pile (broken leg and all). He got her down, roped her, and promptly sat on her for 20minutes hehehe. I thought, that doesn't really seem like you did much other then scaring the crap out of her but oh just wait... I came home yesterday to find her out and I no more looked her direction and she b-lined it for the same hole she had snuck out of and laid down in her pen like nothing at all had happend... So long story short, Wyatt trained the goat.
Here's a pic of her with her splint. She's about 5 months old, she broke her front leg just below the wrist. With a homemade splint, we stabilized the leg above and below the joints nearest to the break. Now 2.5 weeks later her bone has realigned and she has begun to put more weight on it. Another couple of weeks and she will be back with her compadres

well atleast the cast is pink...you wouldn't want the kid to look stupid ;)
I have two favorite pics: (1) the pic of Jessie and Vadra on the dune where her shirt matches the blue of the sky and creates a stark contrast to the white sand; and (2) the one of you and jessie in the sunset on the dunes with some cool rock feature in the back and the both of you running away from the camera. They are all great though. Can't believe how beautiful all that water looked!
looks like a good time.
