Colorado

Elkridge Trail; I'd like to say I was ready for the elevation change in this hike but once again if it wasn't for my sister I would have slowed down way back at this sign :) which was about 1/3 of the way in to our adventure
I always forget how amazing the moutains are in Colorado

and the cheesiest smile of the day goes too...

Enjoying the Colorado sunshine

Ana took me on this beautiful hike in Evergreen CO. I think we climbed over 1,700ft in about 4 miles so I was breathing hard to say the least. We were about 20 minutes from the top, and we saw the typical afternoon showers rolling in but who doesn't finish the hike to the top because of a little rain. So of course, just as we turned the corner to reach the summit the clouds opened up and so did the lightening and thunder. Needless to say, we felt slightly jarred after our sprint of a descent down the mountain side, constantly avoiding the slippering rocks and exposed valleys way where we were easy targets for the nearby lightening that was crashing all around us. We stripped down to our sports bras (keep it clean all) as we shivered our way back to civilization. But soooo much fun!!!

Ana's new place is soooo great. Near downtown and close enough to ride her bike to DU plus she is just a couple of miles to a park that is at least 15 acres of grassy fun. These are the roomies from left; Tait, Tony, Abby and Ana :)
